One stop that I NEED to make while I'm here is Mood fabrics (yes, the same one from Project Runway). About six months ago I purchased a vintage Chanel jacket, it was not in very good shape. There were no buttons and the lining was pretty thin (I did not know how bad the lining was) but the integrity of the jacket was intact. So my labor of love began... First and foremost, I brought it to the dry cleaners and a week later, I was very pleasantly surprised to find out it was a beautiful shade of coral, rather than the dismal shade of orange I thought it was! After looking for several weeks, I was able to find 27 matching Chanel buttons (half of which are sewn on). Now the final step is to find the perfect coral silk fabric for the lining. Then, off to the tailor for repair. Once the jacket is done it will be a certainly be a conversation piece! I forgot how much I love the city, just finished a walk down Madison Ave. It was extremely difficult not to start shopping! However, I have a full weekend here and I promised my partner in crime that I would wait for her. We are both in need of retail therapy and a few cocktails.
